BETA 300 cc 4-Stroke race replica released

The Donato Miglio developed 300cc Beta 4 stroke used by Jordi Pasquet in the 07 and 08 World Championships is now released as a production bike.

Beta's race replica features a host of changes to the engine as well as cycle parts. Engine development consists of a new camshaft with a different profile for altered valve timing, new CDI with a different advance curve, inlet and exhaust valves made from titanium to withstand higher revs, totally new exhaust to increase performance. All this translate to a greater than 20% increase in power throughout the rev range. Maximum rpm is also increased.

Cycle parts have also been changed to increase strength and decrease weight. Front triple clamps are now make from ergal, anodized red and reduce weight by 125gms. Handlebars are 6 way adjustable. The new exhaust system reduces weight by 500gms and increases performance. Footpegs now made in ergal reduce weight and provide a better platform in order to control the bike. Tank cover is now in carbon fibre as well as other parts. Many bolts throughout the bike are made from titanium to further reduce weight.

The bike has already been produced in limited quantities for demonstration purposes. A further batch will be produced in June. Beta Racing will be taking orders during June only, as shipment will be in mid July to arrive in Australia late August. Trevor Campbell will be on one of these bikes at the 2008 Aussie Titles. Trevor is looking forward to showing what a well developed and sorted Beta World Championship 4 stroke is capable of.

Beta Racing are offering these special works replica bikes at only $11600.

Contact Trevor Campbell on 0409 354 029 or Hugh Harvie on 03 9726 9313 AH for further information.

Aussies at the World's
Mitch Willcocks and Neil Price make an assult on the Italian round of the World Championship.

Two years ago Mitch was given the opportunity to ride in a Junior World Championship round in Milan when he was there as a "team development rider" to the Australian TDN team. He timed out, crashed and "5'd" virtually every section but somehow managed to finish the event. The experience for Mitch was huge and ensured that one day he would return to the World Championship arena.
Today is that day, and we are so proud to see an Aussie compete in a World Championship event along with 15 Spanish, 13 French, 12 Italian, 9 UK's, 5 German, 4 Japanese, 3 Swedish, 2 Czech's, 1 Pol and 1 Belgium.
Fingers crossed that Mitch will be able to finish the event and may even get a couple of 3's this time around. When we spoke with Mitch on Thursday night he had just arrived at the paddock. His first task with minder Neil Price was to try to find some more power for Betsy his trusty Beta. After the grueling SSDT and all the events in between poor Betsy is really feeling deservedly tired. So its off to Luca at the Beta factory truck for some jetting info. No "special factory heads" for high altitude events for these boys, it's down to the "Price Engineering" department in the back of the van with the dremel!
Not much sleep over the next 48hrs!

Beta Racing report on the Aussies in Europe
Latest news on the Aussie Beta riders Mitch Willcocks, Neil Price, Tom Scott, Lewis and Alex Nolan from Italy.

Mitch has spent the past couple of weeks in Italy in preparation for the Italian round of the European championship which will be held at Calusco in the North. It will be a big weekend for the Aussie's abroad as Lewis Nolan will make his European debut on Saturday in the Youth Cup and Sunday will see Mitch, Neil Price and Tom Scott compete in the European Championship. Follow the action on the FIM website http://www.trialonline.org/ .
The following weekend Mitch has been successful in getting an entry to the FIM World Championship to be held in Italy. (He will also ride the World Championship rounds in UK and Germany so it's great news for us all to see an Aussie compete at this level.) After the Italian World round Mitch and Neil will travel to the Czech and Poland Euro rounds before heading back to the UK world round.
The next 5 weeks will see Mitch ride in 3 European Championship and 2 World Championship events and we are keeping our fingers crossed for Mitch that all goes well after his run of bad luck in the SSDT. Mitch has been on the bike everyday with the exception of traveling, so we know that the preparation has been good. Neil Price will be Mitch's minder at the Italian World round so he will have no shortage of enthusiasm and patriotism from Neil.

2005 First Impressions
The 2005 models have finally arrived after delays at the factory due to component supplies of the new brake mastercylinders. The following are first impressions from several owners who all had 2004 model Betas.

For an independent test go the the TMX website at

http://www.tmxnews.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=229&ArticleID=898429

for a full test of the entire range.

270cc

Heaps more power throughout the rev range. Much quicker than the '04 model. Motor feels particularly strong. The power is so linear it is great. Front suspension feels awesome - more manoeuvrable and feels lighter. Rear feels similar to the '04 but it will loosen up further. The new two piston rear brake is surprisingly strong after last years four piston caliper. It locks up with ease. The front has heaps more feel and is just as powerful.

250cc

Smoother and sweeter off the bottom end. Same top end power and due to a more linear power curve, the bike gains much better traction. Front end feels excellent - softer intially but stiffer in the second part of its motion. It does not dive as much off drop offs. Front brake has more feel while the back is not as powerful as last years but is now much much easier to control. An enormous improvement over the '04. How can they keep making it better.

200cc

It feels like a softly tuned 250. More power low down and mid range than last years. The power is more linear and it is so easy to control. The increase in traction over last years is incredible. For some reason the bike stears and handles better.

MINITRIAL 50

Great for my 8 year old to ride. Light, low to the ground, well balanced and economical to run.
